Saddleback Summer Artist's Workshop Series

Rocks Cuff Class with Melanie Muir

July 13, 2012

Come and join us for a very special 'bonus' complete one day class at Saddleback Mountain on lucky Friday 13th July 2012!

Melanie Muir, award winning, international polymer jewellery artist is coming all the way from Scotland to show us how to make her “Rocks Cuff”, one of Melanie's signature designs.

Melanie will share her base bead construction technique and will also include how to create hidden stringing channels on a curve, which you can then go on to use in all kinds of your own bracelet designs. She will also show you how to combine different shape designs to create a visually stunning and ergonomically perfect cuff.

See how Melanie creates her wonderful, organically inspired patterns, using her version of mokume gane, and be inspired to create your own unique surface designs, which you can use on your cuff.

Learn how to get a lacquer-like finish on your surfaces and then see how to combine your pieces into a stunning custom bracelet.

The cost for the day-long class is $130. For class details email - info@melaniemuir.com.

We do hope you will join us for what will be a delicious “dessert” after the sumptuous “entrees” provided by Melanie West and Bonnie Bishoff!
